So in case you have not seen, but the Thermal Spring Water mist/spray has started making the rounds in the beauty world recently. “Not another facial mist” I hear you say, though it is a mist, to be used on the face or the body, Thermal Spring Water mist/spray are in a category of their own in my opinion.
So what are they?
In simple terms, Thermal Water is rain water that has travelled deep underground for a long period of time before resurfacing. The water that does resurface has been found to contain minerals, silica and has a neutral PH. What this means, as the people in the white lab coat has determined is that the water is purifying, anti-irritating, anti-inflammatory, and soothing. This water has been used over many years to treat arthritis, joint pains, skin burns. It is now being used widely in the beauty world to calm and soothe the skin.
How do you use them?
Very simple, just spray all over whether it’s the body or the face…you don’t say!!- Ok more specifically, people with dry or sensitive skin or itchy skin, this is an amazing product for you, as it will calm and soothe your skin, your skin will feel less irritated and angry. The product is not limited to a specific type of skin.. it is actually great for all skin types. This is an absolute must during the summer months, especially if you have been out in the sun and heat or have been sun bathing, it can be used just as a cooling mist in the heat, or to calm and soothe any sun burns you may have. It can also be used after hair removal, so you can spray after doing your eye brows or other facial areas, after waxing or shaving your body. It is always great after you have exfoliated your face or body. It has also been said, to be a good setting spray which can be used after applying your makeup to give a healthy glow and long lasting makeup. I have not tried this one, when I do, I will let you know if it works. I personally use it when I have been out in the sun, and I also apply it after I have cleansed and toned my face, I pat the excess off and continue with my skin care regime.
Where can I buy them?
There are a couple of skin care companies like Avene, Vichy and la Roche-Posay that sells them here in the UK and are available to pick up from places like boots. They do come in various sizes, a small one good for the hand bag, a medium size which is just about the same size as a regular hair spray can and a large one which is much bigger. Price wise, they also vary depending what size and where you are buying them from, at the moment you can pick one up for as little as £2.35 – La Roche-Posay , Look Fantastic.
I bought the Avene Thermal Water from boots, the boots I visited only had two sizes the medium and small. The Small will cost you £3, the medium will cost you £7 and the large £10, click here to see the range of Thermal Water from boots.
I can’t recommend this product enough, especially in the summer months. If you have tried this product leave me a comment.
