Summer Nail Polish’s under £5

Unlike the weather here in the U.K, my nails have been living up to the season with all the bright summery nail colours. This is my top 5 summer nails colours under £5. To be honest if you are anything like me, you know 5 is just not enough and there as soooo many summery colours out there, but in reality these have been the one I have been reaching for lately. So here goes…

Top of the list and my favourite at the moment is the Kiko Nail Lacquer in the colour 372 – Nude, priced at £2.50. It is the most beautiful pink nude colour and is great for everyday wear and let’s face it no matter what time of year it is, we all need that one nude colour in our collection. The formula is very creamy and applies beautifully. If I cannot decide what colour to wear, in terms of matching or clashing with an outfit, this is the colour I reach for.

The second one is the Rimmel London Sweetie Heart Velvet Matte Pastels nail polish. This one is in the colour 001 – Cheeky Girl, priced at £3.99. Summer comes around and we all see those beautiful white nail colours. This is the most gorgeous off pink colour, but gives the illusion of a white nail polish- I get tons of compliments when I wear this. As the name suggests, it does dry matte, now I don’t particularly like this look with this particular colour, so to combat this I put a high shine top coat. To see a picture of it on my nails please see my Instagram.

Third one on the list is Sinfulcolors- this is not part of the Kylie collection, I bought this before the Kylie collection came out. The colour is 1103 – Island Coral, I believe I bought this for £1.99, and this is such a beautiful pink coral colour. In terms of compliments, this is by far the most popular colour amongst people, every single time I wear this I will get a compliment. People do notice this colour, maybe because is it such an unusual coral shade.

Keeping with the coral shades, forth on the list is the Rimmel London 60 seconds super shine nail polish in 430 – Coralicious, pried at £2.99. This, to me, is really a summer colour, it reminds me of watermelons, I don’t know why, but it does, and I associate watermelons with summer. This nail polish has a wide brush, and for a person like me who makes a mess when applying nail polish, this is an amazing bonus point.

Last but not the least, is the Rimmel London Sweetie Heart Velvet Pastels nail polish in 003 – Cheeky Chap, pried at £3.99. I can’t live this shade out, I absolutely love this colour, but until recently this colour has been out of my comfort zone, I always thought that they never suited my skin tone, but you know what, to hell with that thought, I do wear it and next time I do I will Instagram it!!!

So there you have it, my top 5 summer nail polishes under £5, let me know what your favourite summer nail colour is.
